EXAM ATTENDANCE SYSTEM
We developed the exam attendance system for The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). PolyU is a world-class research university in Hong Kong.  With 80 years of proud tradition, ranking among the world’s top 100 institutions.
Prior to the launch of the system, school examination attendance adopted traditional roll call model. Upon arriving the examination venue, students were seated according to their candidate numbers. Student ID cards have to be placed on the desks to allow invigilators to check the information with pens and paper once the exam has started.
After the system is launched, complicated procedures mentioned above become simple with the use of three-proof mobile phones (Waterproof, dust-proof, crashproof). Students only need to tap their student ID cards onto the three-proof mobile phones to complete the roll-call process once the exam has started. After tapping the student ID card, the system will display the candidate number, photo, and exam schedule of the candidate to verify the candidate’s identity, and at the same time avoiding the candidates to go to the wrong venue.

REALTIME ATTENDANCE TRACKING
Attendance record can by synced with Poly University’s central student system in real-time, which will generate analytics automatically and allows instant reaction to unscheduled absences or late arrivals.
SPEED UP THE ATTENDANCE TAKING PROCESS
The system can reduce the time needed to verify student information for manual attendance tracking.
MINIMIZE ERROR OCCUR
Human errors like wrong marking, damage or lose of the attendance sheet and redundant works of the original manual procedure can be minimized.
AUTO RECORD
The system automatically records each candidate’s attendance in database system and tracks attendance anomalies (e.g. late/early leave/absent/toilet) in real time.
